Exceptions for Diabetic and Vegetarian Dieters
Diabetic will need to add one serving a day of the below vegetable to meet their daily starch requirements. They must still remain under the 500 daily calorie restrictions. If you are not diabetic, this diet revision will not work for you.
1 cup of broccoli
1 cup of carrots
1 cup of green beans
Also, make sure to eat strawberries for at least one serving of fruit throughout the day. This will help to keep your blood sugar at a healthy level. If your blood sugar is low you can also eat 1 piece of Melba toast with a couple bites of protein, this will also help keep your blood sugar level.
